Homeschool Enrichment Classes in Greater Houston

Enrichment classes are single-subject offerings outside the core co-op day: art, music, drama, foreign language, writing, science labs, and coding. Houston families use these to round out a homeschool schedule with subjects a parent may not want to or feel equipped to teach, often on a drop-in or per-semester basis rather than a full-year commitment.

These classes are usually taught by a specialist rather than a general co-op volunteer, which is exactly why families pay for them separately: a working artist teaching watercolor, a working scientist running a lab, a native speaker teaching Spanish. That specialization is often the whole reason to enroll instead of trying to cover the subject at home.

We split this hub into two sections families search for separately: STEM & Science (labs, coding, science classes) and Arts & Creative Subjects (art, music, drama, writing, foreign language). On TEFA: enrichment isn't on the state's official allowable-expense list, but some enrichment does get approved case by case through Odyssey when a provider demonstrates a genuine educational focus, so it's worth asking a specific provider about their TEFA status rather than assuming either way.
